Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

Today is Will's 9 month birthday! Can you believe how time flies? Since our pregnancy only lasted 3 weeks we're definitely learning as we go! Thankfully, Will has been an easy baby and has managed to thrive in spite of what we did (or didn't) do. He went to the doctor for his check-up and received a clean bill of health. Actually, the doctor said that he was "Perfect!" and I thanked him for his medical opinion of what we already knew! He weighs 20 pounds and 13 ounces and is 28 and 1/2 inches long. He survived his toe prick (lead test) and didn't even flinch! The nurse was very impressed! He is also cutting his top 2 teeth and the left one has already popped through. What a big boy!

This photo is one of my favorites (thanks Alison!) from our adventure 9 months ago. We thank God every day for this perfect gift that He gave us.

Just a Swingin'...and Slidin'...and Climbin'...

What a fun Friday night! After a great day of playing at home we decided to go to the Fountain City Park (or the Pountain City Fark as his daddy called it!) to play. Will had a fun time trying out all of the playground equipment even though most of it was still too big for him to enjoy. We capped the night off with a leisurely drive through the country. We sure are glad to get back to the mountains! Have a great weekend!

P.S. Although he is growing like a weed we are reminded of how little he really is when we look at the picture of his hand and foot!

We Are Fam-i-ly!

Hello all! We're sorry for the sporadic posts this week but the lazy days of summer have hit Knoxville in a big, big way. It's hotter than heck here so we're spending most of our playtime indoors in the cool a.c. Will is crawling like a maniac and is coasting along the furniture like a pro. He is eating everything that we give him and we learned at supper tonight that he LOVES Stove-Top stuffing. Yes, I know he would probably like homemade dressing too, but who has time for that? Anyway, have a great day and stay cool!

P.S. We have some big news! We are the proud parents of multiples (7 to be exact). The baby birds have taken roost in 2 of our ferns on our back porch. Jeremy is very careful when watering while the mama bird watches from afar. We'll keep you updated on their growth.

There's a Full Moon Tonight!

Will is overseeing the bath as it is filling up. He has to be sure that all of his toys are in the tub before he dives in. After a very tiring day with all of his friends at school, Will has to soak his weary bones in the tub. After getting all cleaned up, he escaped the tub and streaked around the house looking for a mess to make.

Will has been very busy the past few days. He spent the weekend with Grandmommy and Granddaddy in E.TN. We missed him very much.

Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen...

Does anyone have some spare change to pay for Will's bail? This weekend Daddy and Grandaddy installed Will's new gate at the top of the stairs. He seems to think that it's more fun to stand and hold on to the bars than to crawl around. (Actually, he thought that the box that the gate came in was much better than the gate itself!) Anyway, please send us all of your bail money to help free the monkey!

From the Lakes of Minnesota...To the Hills of Tennessee (well, Knoxville anyway!)

Happy 4th of July! We had a great first Independence Day as a new family. We hosted a family cookout and were so glad that everyone could come. Will played so much, and he was sooooo tired by the end. He missed the fireworks! Oh well, maybe next year. We hope that everyone enjoyed their holiday!

P.S. Happy Birthday Sissy! We love you!

Hooray for Dollywood!

Whew! We've had a busy weeekend visiting with lots of family. First, Will and mommy went to Grandmommy and Grandaddy's on Friday to work on curtains for our new house. Will got to play with Aunt Jan and cousins, Madison and Mason. Mamaw Norma came by and snuck him some brownies (VERY yummy!) On Sunday, Grannie Annie and Papa Ben came (in their cool, new car) to our house for lunch and to play. What fun! On Monday, we went to Dollywood with Grandmommy and Grandaddy and had a great time! We rode the train, watched a few shows, and took a nap (well, some of us took a nap--right Will and Grandaddy?) We can't wait for our cookout tomorrow. Stay tuned...
