It's His Party and He'll Cry If He Wants To (and He Did!)

After a whirlwind of a weekend (2 weddings, 2 states, 2 nights) we had Will's first birthday party on Sunday afternoon. We had a great time visiting with family and friends and chowing down on hot dogs and banana splits. Will was a little overwhelmed at times and downright yelled during part of the party. Oh well...he has no idea he's even having a birthday soon!

Thanks to all who came (some from very far...Brad and Alison!) and contributed yummy food and help for the party. We're lucky to have such great family and friends who love Will so much. (For the record, Will did wear a super cute monkey shirt during the party, but for some reason all of the pictures I've posted show him shirtless!)

P.S. Congratulations to Uncle Jared and Aunt Katie who were married on Friday in Smyrna and to Stacy and Ben who were married on Saturday in Black Mountain, NC. We were thrilled to get to spend your special days with you! We love you!

Thanks! Amy really came through on the cake for me. With all of the travel and wedding hoopla I couldn't get a cake together. I only wanted a monkey cake for Will since everyone else was having banana splits. She made this cake for him and he did a pretty nice job smashing into it! We'll see you this weekend!

Cute cake! I think little monkey stuff is so cute! You'll have to post a picture of Will in his monkey shirt for us all to see!! I can't believe he's 1 already! (I guess officially that's tomorrow, isn't it? But who's counting!) We've got to plan a get-together for the Scheffer family & Norris family!!!
